This looks Mesopotamian, almost. The way the feathers come down from her head reminds me of that. Good job on it.

I agree with goldfish, I immediately thought of the middle east when I looked at this piece. The head feathers...remind me of a helmet, and remind me of a messenger of war, perhaps, with the man as the general. I like how she blocks the lower part of the picture, it creates awesome depth. The lighting is fantastic, the glow I'm assuming coming from an oil lamp? Beautiful work!
